Phone Triage
We answer live, day or night. Tell us what you see: dead outlets, a tripping breaker, flickering lights, or a burning smell. We ask whether the whole unit is dark or just one room, whether the panel is warm, and whether you smell plastic burning. That tells us what to load on the truck before we leave.
02
Arrival and Safety Check
Our tech arrives in a marked van, typically within 60 to 90 minutes for Rocky Mount addresses. First move is a non-contact voltage tester at the panel and the affected receptacles. If there is heat or a burning smell, we kill the main and work de-energized. Safety first, diagnosis second.
03
Diagnosis With Meter and Camera
We open the panel and read each leg with a Fluke multimeter and clamp meter. A thermal imaging camera finds hot spots on lugs and breakers that a visual check misses. From there we trace the branch circuit with a circuit breaker finder and inspect the Romex for nicks, staples driven too deep, or rodent damage.
04
Repair and Replacement
Once we know the fault, we fix it. That might mean a new AFCI breaker, a GFCI receptacle, a junction box rebuild, or a section of THHN wire pulled through conduit. We torque every lug to spec, land grounds correctly, and label the panel so the next person knows what feeds what.
05
Test and Walkthrough
We re-energize, load-test each repaired circuit, and trip every GFCI to confirm it resets. Then we walk you through what failed, what we replaced, and how to keep it from happening again. You get photos and the warranty terms before we pack up.
